Endowment Foundation

The Westminster Endowment Foundation is an organization designed to receive, manage and disburse funds exclusively for religious, educational or charitable purposes.  These funds are above and beyond, and separate from, the normal operating budget of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

The Endowment is divided into four separate funds:

    - The Endowment Fund

    - The Fern Gray Educational Loan Fund

    - The Mr. & Mrs. Charles W. Shirey Fund

    - The Memorial Fund

Gifts to the Foundation are wisely invested through a commercial trust department, where the funds are reinvested and allowed to accrue income.  Funds are distributed by the Foundation as the needs and opportunities arise.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE FOUNDATION

"Each should give what he has decided in his heart and to give not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

2 Corinthians 9:7

You may express your gratitude to God for the possessions He has entrusted to you by providing that a substantial portion of your capital assets are devoted to His work through:

1.  Gifts for immediate use

2.  A bequest in your Will

3.  A gift of life insurance

GIFTS FOR NOW

Contributions can be designated to any of the four Funds in any amount, no matter how small or how large.  Such gifts will provide immediate strength for the Church in all its' work.

BEQUEST IN WILLS

Doing God's Will through your Will!

Everyone should have a Will prepared to protect his/her family.  In the Will, every Church member should consider a bequest to the Church in gratitude to God for the resources entrusted to him on earth.  Such a bequest will be a witness to the Christian faith, and a means of continuing Christian service far beyond his/her lifetime.

LIFE INSURANCE

Life insurance can be used as a gift to the church by naming the Westminster Endowment Foundation as the beneficiary.

Contributions to the Westminster Endowment Foundation can be designated to any of the four Funds by contacting the Church office, 1301 Kimball AVe. Waterloo, IA  50702, (319) 234-5501 or by speaking to any Foundation member.

YOUR GIFTS MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Through its' four funds, the Westminster Endowment Foundation seeks to enhance the mission of Westminster Presbyterian Church by funding capital improvements of the Church, providing financial assistance to the needy, and assisting in financing higher education.

The Foundation Committee reports to and is ultimately responsible to the congregation of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Your gifts,

given to the glory of God,

make a difference

at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
